Iowa State Basketball Preview – Backcourt

The point will feature top 50 prospect Tyrese Hunter. A big-time talent, Hunter will be given a lot of freedom to be creative, set up plays, and score. The backcourt will be rounded out by transfers Gabe Kalscheur (Minnesota) and Izaiah Brockington (Penn State). Kalscheur is a premium defender and streaky three-point shooter. Brockington, who can play three different positions, is a lockdown defender. Caleb Grill, a prime athlete, premium three-point shooter, and dedicated workhorse, will be a major asset. The former ISU player transferred to UNLV for a year and then transferred back to Iowa State for this season. Other players add depth, including up-and-coming holdovers Tre Jackson and Jaden Walker.
