Commodores Frontcourt

Transfer Liam Robbins (Minnesota) is a solid center who has fine defensive skills. Vandy, which last season was one of the worst defensive teams in the SEC, welcomes Robbins’ Big Ten-leading 2.7 BPG. Junior guard/forward Jordan Wright returns after averaging a sound 8.7 PPG and 4.5 RPG. Wright is a fine inside-outside shooter. The team’s leading scorer, Scotty Pippen Jr. returns. Last year, Pippen averaged 31.8 MPG and 20.8 PPG. He also recorded 4.9 APG and 2.9 RPG. Pippen shot 42.8/35.8/85.0. Dayton grad transfer Rodney Chapman, a fine ball handler and scorer, will be the second man in at point. Also, Trey Thomas can step in at point. Although there are three other players who can play point, the shooting guard spot is a huge concern.
