Our Utah Jazz preview 2021 observes that last season this team went 52-20, finishing first in the division and first in the conference. It was the fifth-straight season that the Jazz made it to the postseason. However, as it was the other four postseasons, Utah took an early exit. They did beat the Grizzlies in five games in the First Round. Unfortunately, the Jazz lost to the Clippers in six games in the Conference Semifinals. Might this season be different?

Jazz Frontcourt

Center is the strongest aspect of the guys upfront. Rudy Gobert (14.2 PPG, 13.5 APG, 2.7 BPG) is an awesome talent. A 67.5 percent field-goal shooter, he’s also a defensive juggernaut. Seven-footer Hassan Whiteside, who brings exceptional skills to the court, backs up.

Our Utah Jazz preview 2021 acknowledges that small forward Bojan Bogdanovic (17.0 PPG, 3.9 RPG, 1.9 APG) can hit from inside, on the wing, and beyond the arc. He’s an exceptionally reliable player and premium shooter. Joe Ingles, who substituted last season, is another excellent field-goal shooter and playmaker. Last season, he averaged 12.1 PPG and 4.7 APG, while connecting on more than 45 percent of his field goals and threes. At power forward, Royce O'Neale is not what you’d call a lights-out performer. However, he’s a versatile defender and solid ball handler. Rudy Gay, a 15-year vet, still has scoring chops. He’s the second one in at the power spot.

Utah Jazz Preview – Backcourt

Mike Conley (16.2 PPG, 6.0 APG, 1.2 SPG) starts at point guard and Donovan Mitchell (26.4 PPG, 4.4 RPG, 5.2 APG) at shooting guard. Either can play either spot. However, both have to stay healthy. If they can, this backcourt will be one of the most dynamic in the NBA. Both can shoot the lights out of the scoreboard. Veteran Jordan Clarkson is a scoring machine and rookie Jared Butler looks ready for primetime. They’ll back up both spots.

Utah Jazz Preview 2021 – Final Word

Quin Snyder (323-231) starts his eighth season as the head man of the Jazz. It took him a few years to find his footing, but once he did five seasons ago, this team has been a perennial postseason participant. Our Utah Jazz preview 2021 notes that Snyder ably gets the most out of his roster, maximizing each player’s talents and skills.
